Take the chance to change UJS for the better

20/01/2012
The UJS Change project is now underway
Take the chance to change UJS for the better
This is an opportunity for you to start the conversation about how UJS ought to change for the better.
Dan Grabiner, UJS President

This project will allow UJS to change and adapt to the needs of its membership, creating new priorities, a new staff structure and a new governance structure that puts you - our students - at the heart of everything that we do. Your answers will help to make UJS better for yourself and your peers and allow us to re-shape the UJS team and decide our priorities.

But, in order for us to be able to do this, we need students to inform us.

The first stage of this project is focus groups.

A focus group is really just an informal discussion usually with around 5 - 10 people sat around a table giving their opinions and thoughts. A professional external moderator leads the conversation and it will usually be recorded for audit purposes.

You don't need to have any prior focus group experience and the discussion is entirely confidential. All you'll need is a computer with a web browser in a quiet place and a broadband connection. All interaction is on-screen in written text so no webcam or sound is required. We'll send more details nearer the time if you are selected.

The focus groups will take place online on 15th and 16th February 2012.

The focus group lasts just 90 minutes.

If you take part, you will be rewarded for your time with a £10 Amazon voucher, which we will send you once your attendance is confirmed.
